Chris Menefee’s Fight Against Voter Suppression

Who is Christian Menefee?

Democrat Christian Menefee has etched himself into Harris County history. Chris is not only the first African-American to be elected as County Attorney but also the youngest in the county’s history. Entering office in January 2021, Christian hit the ground running at 32 years old and has advocated for the residents of Texas’ largest county ever since.

Running for reelection, Christian has no plans to halt his unrelenting advocacy and responsibility for the people of Harris County.

Christian Protects Democracy

Voter suppression can be observed across America’s entirety. However, Texas’ Republican lawmakers exacerbate the issue by attempting to minimize polling sites, allowing the state to hold entirely new elections under the case of voting issues, upon other covert undemocratic policies.

These election bills are targeted towards Harris County. As the largest county in Texas, Harris County has a dense minority population. With the suppressive voting bills, the voices of marginalized groups are further silenced. The same voices that our constitution was designed to protect to uphold our government’s moral pillars.

Christian Menefee recognizes these attempts of voter suppression and has every intention to take legal action against the blatant attempts of undermining the equality of all Texans made by Republican officials.

Christian does not stand for regression; he protects our democracy.

The reelection of Christian Menefee for Harris County Attorney is crucial for all Texans who value democracy and the foundations of American propriety.
