Paul Dyson: A Candidate for Himself

On March 5th, 2024, Paul Dyson will be on the ballot to represent the 14th district of Texas. This article will discuss why he is not the man for the job.

The Second Amendment

One issue that Paul Dyson takes a strong stance on is the Second Amendment. He believes that people should have guns without the government interfering, which is both hypocritical and dangerous.

First, it is dangerous because it will lead to more guns. The more guns there are, the more likely it is that they will fall into the wrong hands, which will lead to more school shootings and innocent lives being lost. This shows that Dyson does not care about the lives of the people, only himself.

Additionally, his support of this bill is hypocritical. By supporting a bill that takes away the lives of so many, it would be hypocritical of him to say that he is pro-life. But that is precisely what he said. His stance on abortion is that the life of an unborn child is too precious to be taken away. Given his hypocriticism, he must have other reasons for supporting this bill, such as getting the endorsement of Governor Greg Abbott. If this is true, it further proves that he is no representative of the people, only himself.

Education

Another issue that concerns Paul Dyson is school vouchers. School vouchers are money for low-income families who want to send their kids to public school but do not have the money to do so. What is problematic about school vouchers is that low-income families are not the ones who benefit from this law. Studies show that the majority of people who receive school vouchers already attend private schools or have the resources to do so. Thus, the school vouchers significantly increased the gap between the rich and the poor. Additionally, it did nothing to help anybody except Dyson, who got the endorsement of Governor Abbott for supporting this bill.

Conclusion

On March 5th, 2024, Paul Dyson will be running for the 14th district of Texas. And given his support for school vouchers and the Second Amendment, it is clear that he is not a representative of anyone but himself and does not deserve your vote.
