Can TDP run elections or does the Texas Democratic Party need outside resources to determine how elections occur for their state convention?
The voting deadline for Permament Committee membership passed last night 6:00PM. The Texas Democratic Party experimented with a Google Forms/Quiz style ballot this year to tabulate votes. Vote results are still not public for the election which ended yesterday. Several delegates say they should be available within an hour of an electronic election.

The latest debacle is another reminder Texas Democrats do not trust the Texas Democratic Party to do things right. Despite historic gains across the country, Texas Democrats have thrown away chance at control of the state house of representatives in 2020.
Some say they are repeating past errors by not being more transparent in the process. Current polls show Donald Trump easily winning re-election in Texas and its forty Electoral College votes.
One precinct chair in Tarrant County said,”TDP will take a competitive Allred-Cruz race and give it and control of the US Senate to the GOP.”
We reported earlier this week the Texas convention voting crisis had begun. Candidates for office complain they did not get access to delegate lists equally. Further some delegates had to request a ballot three times so they could vote.
These misfires play into Republican hands who removed thousands of mail in ballots in Harris County in prior elections.
It is unclear what the Texas Democratic Party can do to fix these issues given their own timeline.
